Seismic floor joint covers are nearly invisible. Their unique design makes it look as though the joint is part of the floor itself. The finish floor material is stored inside the joint to create a continuous, uninterrupted surface with no visible seams.
Seismic centering bars help the pan assembly withstand multi-directional ground movement, including lateral shear, without transferring stress into the surrounding structure during ordinary thermal cycling.
In the event of an earthquake, the pan will rise upward to open the full width of the structural joint. This allows movement through the opening, so anyone inside the building can evacuate.
