Construction Details:

• Non-sag large and heavy tile mortar, also known as a medium-bed mortar
• Thin-set mortar for large-format and heavy-tile and stone installations
• For bond coats up to 1/2 in embedded thickness
• For interior or exterior use
• Ideal for floor, wall, and countertop installations of large format and heavy tile
• Approved for use with plywood
• High performance - polymer-enriched formula
• Great for most interior and exterior residential and commercial installations on countertops and floors in both dry and wet areas (see product data sheet below for more limitations).
• Great for most interior and exterior residential installations on walls in both dry and wet areas (see product data sheet below for more limitations). Also good for most interior (not exterior) commercial wall installations
• For large and heavy tile installation of: ceramic tile, porcelain tile, cultured stone, quarry tile, pavers, Saltillo tile, and most types of marble, granite, and natural stone
• Meets or exceeds ANSI A118.4 and ANSI A118.11 requirements
• Install only in temperatures between 40°F and 95°F
• Color: gray or white
• Recommendation: use white mortar when installing light-colored stones and translucent marble
• Not for use with moisture sensitive stone, agglomerate tiles or resin-backed tiles
• Do not use over dimensionally unstable substrates like oriented strand board, hardwood flooring, substrates containing asbestos, or metal (See product data sheet below for more information)
• Not suitable for installations subject to water immersion such as pools or spas
• Not recommended for areas subject to extreme freezing / thaw conditions
• Cleanup: While mortar is fresh clean tools and tile
• Suitable Substrates: concrete (cured at least 28 days), masonry cement block, brick, cement mortar beds, leveling coats, cement backer units, gypsum wall board and plaster in interior walls in dry areas only, APA Group 1 and CANPLY 0121 exterior grade plywood for interior, residential and light commercial floors/countertops in dry conditions only, properly prepared vinyl composition tile, non-cushioned sheet vinyl, and cutback residue in interior applications only (see product data sheet below for more information)
• Protect tile installation from traffic for 24 hours before grouting and protect from heavy traffic, frost and rain for 7 days.
