Ways to Use Aisle Marking, Reflective & Hazard Tape

We think of tape as a way to bond items together, or even to provide an anti-skid surface in slippery areas. But tape is also great for marking designated areas for certain purposes, or even as hazardous.

Aisle Marking Tape for Organization

Warehouses, for example, can use colorful aisle marking tape on the floors or walls to easily indicate that a certain aisle should only contain particular products or that products should be placed within a particular spot and not beyond it.

Reflective Tape for Nighttime Visibility

You can apply vibrantly colored fluorescent reflective tape to many flat surfaces, including walls, concrete, fiberglass, aluminum, or painted steel. Reflective tapes offer easy nighttime visibility of indoor or outdoor objects.

For example, you can use reflective tape on forklifts being operated at night or on any objects stored in a dark area that might be bumped into if not marked appropriately.

You can also apply it to vehicle bumpers or large trucks/trailers carrying oversized loads on the roads at night to easily mark the entire width and depth of the vehicle.

You can use reflective tape on advertising signs, temporary road signs indicating difficult driving conditions, or road markers warning drivers of lane closures or other obstacles in their path. It’s also applicable to motorcycle or bicycle helmets, automatic gates, small motorized vehicles, and more.

Hazard Tape for Safety

This tape brings attention to hazardous items in an environment, and will adhere to most clean, dry surfaces on floors, walls, pipes, walkways, ramps and equipment. Hazard tape can be used to mark off areas:

  • Near dangerous equipment
  • Under construction
  • That contain items that are highly flammable
  • Slippery surfaces
  • Where workers or visitors should use safety glasses or other protective clothing
