Questions others have asked:
I am thinking about using this to cover the threshold of an exterior door. The current threshold is painted wood, and it's hard to clean and peeling. So... is this a good choice for that application? I only need one of them - does the epoxy come in smaller quantities than one quart? Like maybe a tube?
Thanks!
Hi Jon,
Thank you for your question. We haven't heard of any customers using the a tread for a threshold. So we can't really tell weather it will work or not, but it sounds like it will. Unfortunately, the epoxy doesn't come in smaller quantities. Also, not sure if you've seen our Edging and Threshold page. Will this product contract thru freeze and thaw?
Hi Michele,
Thank you for your question. The main reason for this stair tread to be approved for outdoor use, is that it maintains its original form during all types of conditions.

What about a stairway in a commercial kitchen application with oil, grease and water?
Hi Lee,
Thank you for your question. If it's not outside we would recommend this product A60522, http://kofflersales.com/p/roppe-stair-treads-grease-proof.asp?cid=65 However, if it's indoor and/or outdoor we would recommend these products, http://kofflersales.com/metal-stair-treads.asp http://kofflersales.com/p/stair-treads-and-nosing-fiberglass.asp?cid=3716
I have a metal spiral staircase that leads from my upper deck to the lower one, and I need treads that will help everyone, including my little dogs, to get down the stairway without slipping. Are these the best choice for that application?
Hi Laura,
Thank you for your question. Yes, these stair treads are the only rubber stair treads approved for outdoor use and are a great solution for your application. However, not as durable and rugged is our non-slip tape, which can also be used in this application. Please copy and paste these links to view, http://kofflersales.com/p/anti-slip-abrasive-tape.asp?cid=23 http://kofflersales.com/p/conformable-abrasive-anti-slip-tape.asp?cid=23

Hi Mathy,
Thank you very much for your question. Unfortunately, you can not install this product over granite. Also, the Black color will absorb the heat and be quite hot in the sun.
Thank you,

Do you have stair treads for unheated garage use in North Dakota? Would prefer a different color then black. The garage would not get below 25 degrees. Thanks
Hi Craig,
Thank you for your question. I would highly recommend either our Fiberglass or Metal stair treads, plus you can install them during during the winter if you'd like. Here are the links to those 2 products. http://kofflersales.com/p/stair-treads-and-nosing-fiberglass.asp?cid=49 http://kofflersales.com/metal-stair-treads.asp
