Questions others have asked:I'm looking at the spec sheet for the Roppe rubber reducer #24, and it says it comes in "16 9-ft. sections per tube (144 ft.)" Is this how you are selling it (per tube), or are you selling it per 9-ft section?
Hi Jesse, Thank you for your question. We sell the Roppe reducer #24 in 9ft. sections by the piece. You do not have to buy 16 at a time. Thank you, The Koffler Team
We are replacing some missing indoor/outdoor carpet on our porch of our new home. Previous owners had what I'm guessing is vinyl edging installed on the existing carpet. Is this the product I need to finish the installation? The carpet is over concrete. We want it to look cohesive, so I'm guessing we'll also have to replace their existing edging so it's all the same color. Any suggestions would be appreciated. And it's installed with a glue? Similar to the carpet glue?
Hi Sharon, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not recommend vinyl or rubber edging to be used outdoors. However, we have had some customers use them in the same application you are talking about. Here is a nice edging that may work. can this be installed along a curved transition?
Hi, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it can not be installed along a curve. Thank you, The Koffler Team
Hello I am looking for a transition piece for my pergo flooring. I have pergo flooring in the kitchen leading into same pergo flooring in the dining room. The need for the transition piece is because there is a slight slope down where the kitchen and dining room meet. Any help or information on what you can recommend I use, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Jeff, Thank you for your question. The product that you were on is a good option in profile #45 #59. When choosing a reducer the main specification to keep in mind is the thicknesses of the flooring. Here are a few other choices. Hi Bruce, Thank you for your question. Yes, we sell the Roppe 535U and 528 of the same price. Please mercy specify in the "Additional Instructions" section of the shopping cart. Thank you, The Koffler Team
I am needing a transition from LVT to tile, LVT is about 5/8 higher than tile. Trying to find a 0-5/8 reducer. Which option would be best for this?
Hi Betsy, Thank you for your question. This product actually is your best option and the closest profiles would be #20 or #49. They are both only 1/16" off but that's the closest size that is made. Thank you, The Koffler Team
Hi, I need to add a transition strip but the wooden ones are too high. I need something with a much lower profile. The strip length would need to be just over 7 ft. The gap between laminate floor and carpet is 1/4 in. both surfaces are level to each other. Which one of your products should I use and is the strip glued to laminate and carpet? Also, what color would match best with the oak laminate floor? Thank you
Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. Without knowing the thickness of the carpet and laminate it's a bit hard to tell. Please copy and paste this link and take a look at this profile CD-XX-C, http://kofflersales.com/p/t-molding-adapters.asp?cid=2584 There is a number of colors (click our color tab) to choose from, without seeing the Oak it's hard to recommend a color. Thank you, The Koffler Team
Hello, We had wood floor installed in our living room by some company. There is about half an inch transition between the wood floor and ceramic tile. the tile is taller. they installed wood t-mold transition piece which not only hurts our toes but also gets damaged easily while moving furniture. Do you have any suggestion for replacing wood t-mold? thanks in advance, Anna
Hi Anna, Thank your your question. Maybe take a look at our vinyl inserts for our Johnsonite T-molding. Not sure what groove size your's but measure it and see if our vinyl T molding will snap in and lay more flush. Here is the link, http://kofflersales.com/p/t-molding-adapters.asp?cid=2584 Thank you, The Koffler Team
Is this suitable for freight elevator transition where heavy equipment (scissor lift, pallet jacks, etc.) pass through. How is it installed on concrete? Is this hard rubber?
Hi Andy, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this product would wear down way too quickly if it was installed on a freight elevator. Please copy and paste this page for another product that might be more suitable. http://kofflersales.com/p/bold-step-stair-tread.asp?cid=21 Thank you, The Koffler Team
Can the rubber reducers be used to transition from a tile floor that is 1/2" higher then carpet flooring? If so, how do you keep it in place? Can you nail through it?
Hi Mark, Thank you for your question. Yes, they can be used as a transition. Here is the link for the recommended adhesive, we don't suggest you use nails. Thank you, The Koffler Team
Hi. I need a flooring transition strip that will go from laminate to vinyl sheet. There is no difference in height. The original transition strip was destroyed by a pet that no longer lives here. The problem is that I don't have tools to cut a thick piece of wood or metal and the transition strip requires an odd cut on one of the ends. Is this a suitable product for this type of job? Is it easily cut? What type of tool do I need? Also, can it be glued down? Thanks!
Hi Lynn, Thank you for your question. Yes, these products are made of Vinyl or Rubber and are very easy to cut with a utility knife. Also, these products can be glued down, we do offer the proper adhesive. Please measure the thickness on both ends of your flooring and use that as the primary gauge to what product is best for you. Please review the products on this page by copy and pasting this link or feel free to give one of our product specialists a call, 888.355.6287. http://kofflersales.com/floor-edging.asp Thank you, The Koffler Team
Can this reducer be used at the edge or ceramic tile on a garage door. Cars will be going over it?
Hi D. West, Thank you for your question. We believe if properly installed cars should be able to drive over it. However, if the product is exposed to the outdoors at all, it would not be a suitable product to withstand outdoor conditions. Thank you, The Koffler Team
