The Greener Side Haven is an animal sanctuary that specializes in unwanted animals - seniors, abused and those with extensive medical conditions. I foster about 65 of those dogs in my home and my home is completely tiled. These grout brushes are worth their weight in gold. The floors are scrubbed daily and we use these for that purpose. They work wonderfully.

Tried the traditional way to clean the grout by getting on my hands n' knees to scrub grout lines with a hand-held grout cleaning brush. Not advisable for a 60 year old man.

I researched grout brushes and found this. It easily attaches to an extension pole or stick. Made the job much faster and less fatiguing. Cleans grout lines really well using a 90/10 mixture of water and detergent in a spray bottle. Just spray liberally on the grout line, let soak in for 30 seconds, scrub with brush for 10-20 seconds and damp/sponge mop the excess away. Wish I held the design patent!

I had bought small hand held brushes for the grout in my kitchen which were labor intensive to use. After looking online, I decided on this brush with the extension handle ordered separately. The V shaped bristles fit perfectly in the grout tracks. The extension handle is plenty long enough that I don't have to bend over which takes the pressure off my back. The bristles are very stiff in the brush and if your grout is old and crumbling, it could scour it out if you put too much pressure on the handle. This is exactly what I needed to clean up the grout in my kitchen. I had read one review that said that it didn't stand up well for commercial use. For home use, this is plenty tough enough. I don't use it everyday and the extension handle seems strong enough for home use. I could see where a big strong guy could put enough pressure on the handle to bend or break it. I like that the handle collapses for storage. Very happy with both the brush and handle and wish I had bought it sooner.
